The UNSCC Annual Neighborhood Conference has evolved from very basic
workshops like How to Organize Neighborhood Associations, Write Grants or
How to Have Successful Meeting to more advanced workshops - about Planning
and Land Use Code Enforcement and Neighborhood Business and Meeting Best
Practices, Public Policy Forum discussions and Partnering with other
Community organizations discussions to reflect the challenges and
complexities that neighborrhood associations face in today's cities.

UNSCC will be co-sponsoring for the first time in Santa Clara County a free
3 hour ( 9 am - noon ) Neighborhood and Community Leaders Public Policy
Forum with League of Woman Voters, Latina Coalition and other non profit non
partisan community groups where the invited speakers are from a wide range
of community interest groups as part of our 12th Annual Neighborhood
Conference. The 3 discussion topics: Why San Jose Can't Pay for expected
basic City Services like other local city's? What is the Neighborhood &
Community's Role in Public Policy Development? Can we have Open, honest
Ethical Governement without local Sunshine laws?
