McClintock on Panel To Discuss

Eminent Domain Decision

   Senator Tom McClintock, author of California Constitutional Amendment SCA 15 will be a participant in the

Aug. 13  Kelo Call For Action Forum at Le Petit Trianon, 72 N. 5th St. from 1:30-4:30 pm. The forum, 

sponsored by Coalition for Redevelopment Reform, will be conducted to inform and mobilize California citizens to support the 

constitutional amendment designed to protect California homes and property from Eminent Domain Abuse.

  Senator McClintock will be joined by Dana Berliner, Institute for Justice attorney, who argued the lawsuit 

before the US Supreme Court; Chris Norby, Orange County Supervisor and director of MORR (Municipal Officials for Redevelopment Reform);

 Doug McNea, president of Silicon Valley Taxpayers' Assn.; Steve Anderson, Castle Coalition, political 

arm of the Institute for Justice.

  Following the forum, which will include time for questions and answers, there will be an opportunity

to talk with members of the public who have been threatened by eminent domain actions in the past and

have lost their properties or been forced to give them up due to coercion by the government.
