Haven Neighbors Meeting

Thursday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

at Danna Rock Park

All Haven neighbors are welcome to attend our Haven Neighborhood Association meetings. We are not a home-owners association, but a friendly group of neighbors sharing thoughts and ideas about neighborhood safety and issues.

This meeting will feature talks on upcoming events such as the Haven Dumpster Day.

Volunteers Needed

Dumpster Day coordinator - Arranges the annual dumpster day. Estimated time: 3 hours a month for three months.

Meeting coordinator - Arranges the quarterly meeting setup and agenda. Estimated time: 1 hour a month.

Adopt-A-Park coordinator - Calling volunteers and reporting volunteer hours to San Jose Parks. Talks with park reps for project approval. Estimated time: 3 hours a month.

Dumpster Day

On Saturday, August 27th, HNA will be sponsoring a clean-up day for residents of the Haven Neighborhood. Watch for the Haven Community Dumpster Day flyer for further detailed information. If you would like to help out in any way, please e-mail clickhaven@yahoo.com.

Santa Clara County Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Days in San Jose are the following Fridays and Saturdays:

August 12 & 13, September 9 & 10, October 7, 8, 28 & 29 November 4 & 5 and December 9, 10, 16 & 17

PLEASE NOTE: The services offered by the HHW program are not available at this location outside of the operating days listed above. Facilities are strictly prohibited without staff supervision. The site address and directions to the facilities are only made available to residents at time of appointment to prevent unauthorized drop-offs and to ensure safe collection by professional staff. Residents interested in participating in the disposal program must contact the HHW information hotline at (408) 299-7300 between the hours of 8:30a.m. and 4:30p.m. for an appointment.
